I’ve always put Raging Bull at the top of my overall sports movies list but Hoosiers would be up there, too. For what it’s worth - IMO greatest sports movie/performance: Bang the Drum Slowly/Robert De Niro.Ī: Yeah, I’ve talked to a few friends in the States this week and the sadness is palpable. Like you, I was a bigger fan of the book, but that clip was a reminder of how behind all great sports movies is a great story and moments of humanity that genuinely move us.
